I love looking at different childrens games and songs because they often have regional differences. I moved to the opposite side of the country and found everyone played the same games in childhood but had different words or claps. The way I played this was by patting your thighs, snapping, then clapping 3 times with your partner. the words were: This is a game of concentration no repeats or hesitation I'll go first and you go section the category is ___.

Thank you for this great video, watched it with my 4th and 6th grader. Glad the 6th grader saw an older girl doing it and heard it can be done through Middle school. Simple fun we can enjoy while waiting for the bus. Thanks again!!!

In Singapore, almost everyone plays at 2x speed or 3x speed and we say it like this: Concentration, 64, No repeats, Or hesitation, You go first, I'll go last, The topic is, Anything! And it sounds different bc we have singlish lol. Ofc there is clapping after every sentence u say.

I believe this is what the band Eurythmics based their name on (I vaguely recall an interview with Annie Lennox mentioning something like this).

In the VI, we play a game similar to this.♡♡I haven't played in years. This took me down memory lane. We say: Hands up for 98 We gonna guess it Names of ****CATEGORY **** One a piece No repeats No hesitation No duplication Starting with. ... and keep the rhythm flowing:))♡♡♡♡these days:))))

I do it like this and we go fast-concentration to the rock pick it up names of (pick your category) no hesitations no repeats let’s start with the beat starting (a name) ending with (a name) and you can play it with a group you have to go in a circle tho in order

I vaguely remember this from elementary school. I think ours went: "Con-cen-tration, no hesi-ta-tion, all in rhythm, keep that rhythm, starting with names of...." And does anyone remember "This is a..."??? (Number of players: 2+) First person: this is a pen Second person: a what? First person: a pen Second person: a what? First person: a pen Second person: oh, a pen Second person to third person: introduces pen while listening to next item from first person There should be more items than the number of players and the more players the better. Whomever messes up is out and you continue on without them until all items have been introduced and rotated person to person. Also after item returns to first person it can be removed from rotation if desired. The last person to mess up is the winner. (This was especially fun to play with 15-20 other classmates on days we had a substitute teacher or no assignment for the day)
